Great value for money Very comfortable room with water and choice of hot drinks available. Bedroom and bathroom all newly fitted. Great choice for breakfast and all perfectly cooked. Perfect for a base to see Dent and the local area. I would recommend this for couples but not large groups.

Snap up a room in this accommodation if you can, it’s a cracker of a place. ???? - After a 20 mile walk on the Dales Way this place was like a little piece of heaven. Our room was so comfortable with great tea and coffee facilities and good quality bathroom consumables. The breakfast was superb and the opportunity to pre-order a packed lunch is a hiker’s dream. The adjoining shop is well stocked with everything you could need and more. Well positioned for the Dales Way path and pubs for food on the evening. ???? - Loved it all.

Perfect Dales Way stopover Dent is a truly delightful place - stopped here after our Dales way hike from Hubberholme on way to Burneside... a friendly, warm welcome and spotless accommodation. Super comfy bed and hosts happy to make up packed lunch for our next day. Highly recommend.

Goed dat we er maar 1 nacht verbleven ???? - Goed ontbijt, propere kamer en badkamer ???? - Zeer kleine kamer, geen kast (er was gewoon geen plaats voor) de badkamer was bijna even groot als de slaapkamer. 1 Bed stond tegen een raam dat naast de kerk stond, dus klokkengelui tijdens de nacht, bijgevolg slecht geslapen. Parkeerplaats ongeveer 150m van de B&B.

good thing we only stayed 1 night Very small clean room, no place to move, with a window on the church side, so noise all night long. No cupboard to hang your clothes. Bathroom almost as big as bedroom. Breakfast good. parking place nearby (150m.) No other things to say !.......

3 lovely nights here Spent 3 nights here. Spotlessly clean rooms with comfy beds and crisp white sheets. Lots of choices for breakfasts and plenty of it! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The village is delightful with lots of walks nearby. We can't fault our stay here and will certainly be recommending this B & B to our friends. Well done guys, hope to see you again soon!

Best nights sleep and best breakfast This was one of the best b&b’s I have ever stayed in. The hosts were lovely. All 3 rooms were beautifully appointed. We were in a twin with a bath which was great for us as we were walking the dales way. It’s a very short stroll to the only pub in the village that does food. We had an amazing nights sleep. Breakfast was the best on our journey - a full choice including lots of fresh fruit. The B&B is attached to the shop which stocks all the essentials you need. Absolutely cannot fault it, nor would I want to.

Lovely location, directly opposite the village church Stayed here for one night whilst on the Dales Way. Excellent accommodation , 100 yards from the George and Dragon pub which does evening meals and has an excellent selection of real ales. B & B bed very comfortable, excellent breakfast and equally importantly a fantastic hot and powerful shower which washed away the preceding 7 hours of walking from Buckden.

This is a great B&B. Lovely hosts who have already thought of what you might need before you have. 3 of us stopped while riding the Dales Cycleway and it was just what we needed. A great place to stay in Dent We spent a lovely couple of days in Dent staying at the Dent B&B. The rooms were very comfortable providing a good nights sleep before some excellent walking in the area the next day. The hosts, Sue and Les were very friendly and provided excellent advice. Great Break in Yorkshire We recently spent a long weekend with friends in Dent and stayed at the Dent Stores B&B. We were really impressed with the guest house, the food and the friendliness of the proprietors, who even offered advice on the various walks and places to go. The breakfasts were excellent and there was plenty of food to line your stomach for the walks ahead. We would definitely go back again.

We were walking the Dales Way walking from Ilkley to Bowness on Windemere.We'd walked from Swarthghyll Farm, Oughtershaw.We got a warm welcome from the hosts, the room we had was lovely and really comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and had a good shower.With us staying on a day when the pubs were closed, the bnb provided an evening meal. Which was really nice. The breakfast was also very good.I would recommend this BnB if you are visiting Dent or walking in the area.If you're walking, the BnB is creamy/lighter colours. So if you can brush off any excess mud/dirt from boots etc. It would probably be appreciated.I was filthy when I turned up, after walking through very boggy ground around Oughtershaw. That the trail went through. It wasn't a problem at all, I just needed to be careful getting changed out of my walking gear and cleaned up.

Wonderful accommodation in Dent ???? - Really loved it here, the room was bright and very comfortable with lovely soft pillows and bedding. We enjoyed soaking in the bath tub after walking all day. This accommodation is perfectly located on the Dales Way walk. The breakfast was amazing, it was plentiful and very high quality. Best shower of the year award goes to.... Excellent b&b, very comfortable and great breakfasts which you can select the night before . An ideal spot for the walking trip planned. And probably gets the 'best shower of the year' award. Dent is a lovely village to be based in.

Disappointing stay. The room was not as expected from the price and the "Deluxe" as showw the b ???? - Comfy beds and good bedding. Decent sized shower room. Good breakfast but no choices other than the usual "Full English" ingredients ???? - Very small standard room with only basic facilities i.e. - beds, bedside cabinets, small corner cupboard for the refreshments and hooks on the wall with coat hangers - that was all. No slip mat for the slippery shower floor and nowhere to hold shower gel or shampoo when inside the shower. Would not class the room as "Deluxe" as in the booking description.

Good ???? - The location in the village of Dent is great. It's a working village so expect a fair bit of activity and farmer type noise. Our room was very clean and the bed itself was ok, (see below). The host was very nice, helpful and friendly. There was a good breakfast provided, with ample choice. Great shower, always a good point for me. ???? - Generally I felt it was overpriced compared to other places I have stayed. The room was small with no storage provided other than clothes hangers on wall hooks and standard bedside cabinets. This meant living out of cases, which we had to stash at the side of the bed and step over This next point is subjective, but I found the pillows to be way too soft and really uncomfortable. Others may like soft pillows, so down to personal preference.

The property was only a few metres from our route and we were able to securely store and charge our e-bikes in a nearby shed. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was fine. Lovely, - clean, friendly and great breakfast! ???? - This is a lovely B and B. I turned up with my sister late and exhausted after a long bike ride and they were very friendly and welcoming. They stored our bikes securely in their shed. The room was lovely, clean and with a kettle and nice bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful (with good vegetarian options!) and we were able to order a takeaway sandwich to take with us the next day. Dent is a quaint little village and the pub did good food. Brilliant find … A great find as part of our Dales Way walk. We arrived before checkin and we were soaked. The host kindly let us checkin and get changed earlier than advertised time. A real bonus ! Spotlessly clean, great location, great breakfast … all you could possibly want for a one night walking break. Would highly recommend and will be returning.

Dales way waypoint We were walking the Dales Way walking from Ilkley to Bowness on Windemere. We'd walked from Swarthghyll Farm, Oughtershaw. We got a warm welcome from the hosts, the room we had was lovely and really comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and had a good shower. With us staying on a day when the pubs were closed, the bnb provided an evening meal. Which was really nice. The breakfast was also very good. I would recommend this BnB if you are visiting Dent or walking in the area. If you're walking, the BnB is creamy/lighter colours. So if you can brush off any excess mud/dirt from boots etc. It would probably be appreciated. I was filthy when I turned up, after walking through very boggy ground around Oughtershaw. That the trail went through. It wasn't a problem at all, I just needed to be careful getting changed out of my walking gear and cleaned up.

A friendly find Les and Denise; homely and welcoming, thank you. Rooms; En-suite, exceptionally clean and fresh. I personally loved the views over the rooftops. Breakfast; local sausages and bacon, all very good. It was a friend's birthday whilst we were staying, and Les did a fabulous job putting together a surprise champagne reception with accompaniments; perfect! Dent itself is a beautiful town/village that I would love to revisit.

Always aware of the time.....thanks to the church clock.....a lovely and memorable visit to Dent. ???? - Could not find any fault in our entire experience staying at Dent Stores.......a shining example of what can be achieved using ingenuity. Any criticism would be aimed at not having a seat other than a bed, and better sound attenuation between rooms ie soundproofing in the separating walls. Perfect stay Great welcome, took bags early and gave us car parking pass. Really warm welcome when we arrived back following a walk. Room spotless and very comfortable, shower is excellent! Breakfast was really fresh - lovely fruit salad (and I am very picky about fruit!) and the vegetarian cooked breakfast was delicious. We ordered sandwiches to take walking which were generously filled and on lovely granary bread - well wrapped too which kept them fresh. Nothing too much trouble. We have stayed in many B and Bs and this one is excellent value for money and one we would definitely return to. Shop is a well stocked too for extra picnic or snack items.

A gem of a find We stayed here for 3 nights while attending a wedding nearby, and what a find. Our cute room was spotless with a beautiful view of the local church, and a decent size bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding, with nothing too much trouble for the always smiling owners. I wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely recommend Dent Stores.

I couldn't work out how to get water at the right temperature. I started off having a cold shower until I worked out how to up the temperature only for it to be too hot. The sink I couldn't work out at all so just had to have a cold wash.

Dales Way Stopover A one night stay for a group of 4 walking the Dales Way in the charming little village of Dent. Clean, fresh & comfortable rooms with en suite facilities. Reasonably priced. Sue, our host was very friendly & accommodating. We were provided with a car park pass for the village car park approx 150 metres away. It happened to be our friends' 1st wedding anniversary. Sue kindly chilled a bottle of champagne we had brought & provided glasses so we could celebrate in the dining area, before heading out for an evening meal. A great breakfast the following morning. Would definitely book again & recommend it as a place to stay.

Poor Customer Service Booked some months ago , looking forward to the break but unfortunately serious illness of one of the party meant we couldn't visit and needed to postpone , asked the owner could we postpone /put the trip back from August to say mid/late September to allow a 6 week likely recovery and he refused , we pointed out that we were not seeking recovery of the already paid 100% bill but was asking to move from high summer [August] to off season September due to serious unexpected incapacity [but still pay the agreed price we had paid for August] and the implication was we were providing excuses and he wouldn't change dates or provide any refund [not that we wanted the latter]. There was no loss to the owner in our request of changing dates, shocking customer service /attitude and in my view avoid at all costs.

Very dissappointed Booked through Booking.com was very excited to be revisiting Dent as it has a special significance. Unfortunately a week before our booked visit i had an emergency hospital admission which has left me currently immobile and unable to sit or stand. I immediately contacted the accomodation to explain and ask to change the dates to the autumn, i also formally made the request through booking.com who advised that whilst it was outside the 14 day cancellation period it was at the discretion of the accomdation to override that in exceptional circumstances. Both requests were refused by the accomodation. It wasn't a 'change of plans' or a cancellation request rather a change of date ( incidentally from high season to the autumn) I remain extremely disappointed at the lack of compassion and at this moment it has tainted a very special place for me.

Easter Treat We stayed at this excellent B & B for 2 nights over the Easter weekend whilst completing a couple of the Dales 30-Great Coum and Great Knoutberry Hill.We were very impressed with the accommodation which was spotless and provided everything we needed including comfy beds and fabulous showers.Breakfasts and packed lunches were provided by the hosts and evening meals were enjoyed at the pub which was less than 2 minutes away.Location could not have been better.A fabulous place to stay and excellent value for money Thankyou very much

Autumn Adventures We booked 4 nights here with another couple for some local walking . We parked our cars up in the village car park using a permit provided by the B& B .Happy to say we didn’t need our cars until we left for home .Dent is a super base for walking . This B&B is a real treat sitting in a pretty village our comfortable room faced the church . The en-suite facilities were great the shower amazing the towels white and fluffy smelling of fabric softener. The breakfast provided was full of choice the full English was perfectly cooked and the creamy hot porridge should win an award .

Our room was modern, clean and exactly what we needed after completing part of the dalesway. Best b and b in Dent. ???? - Everything was superb. I have stayed over many years travelling in many b and b accommodation. From arriving tired after a long day cycling we were made very welcome, our bikes were locked away securely and we were shown to our lovely room. My son and myself thought it was great, spotless, great tea and biscuits and spot on TV and wifi. Beds were comfy and the shower was hot. Had the best full English breakfast of the trip if not all time ! Sausage and bacon was quality as was the rest of the feast, kept our spirits up in the filthy weather and a 50 mile trip to our car. Our hosts were friendly but not overbearing. And only £40 each. Thanks again, we will return x ???? - The bathroom window could do with a blind or curtain, although it didn't bother us it may others, and there was a little noise early morning with the plumbing system, if not for that we would have given 110% for everything. We didn't not like it, but other people may.

Perfect Stopover On Dalesway Walking Route ???? - Great little B&B in quant village - directly on the Dalesway Walking Route. Room was light and airy, very clean and comfortable. Level of customer service and attention to needs of the guests was excellent. Choice and quality of Breakfast again was exceptional. Nice couple of village pubs literally within 2 mins walk. Overall great overnight stay. Highly recommended. ???? - Twin bed room - the beds themselves were a little narrow. Otherwise no other cause for complaint.

Perfect cosy base for walking in Yorkshire ???? - Great little place to stay for walking in Yorkshire! Really friendly owners that are there to help with anything you may need. I was out super early for the 3 peaks challenge so they left me out a continental breakfast but my mum stayed for the full breakfast and enjoyed everything that was cooked for her. Rooms are cosy but modern with everything you need for a simple stay. ???? - The roads can be a little tricky to get into the village but this is like most small villages in Yorkshire so is to be expected. Just take your time and it's no problem at all.

Shocking attitude! Called in to dent stores recently to buy some water as it was quite warm and thought the village was worth a look round. I picked up a couple bottles of water and a Mars bar for later only to be told they don't accept card payments under £3.50??,why not? It's a debit card payment, use your card not cash your told! Only one in the store at once rule goes here, (fair enough) but not accepting card payments... Beggers belief. Needless to say I decided I needed the money more than him so left him with no sale under principle. In trying to help the stop of covid by using my card, this place refuses for small purchases, I won't stop off at dent again as lovely a little place it is!

Great b&b, the owners were lovely, the place was sparkling clean with comfortable beds and the village and locals were lovely too.

Good little village store

Lovely nights stay Myself and three friends were cycling down the NCN68 from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Derby. The hotel let us store our bikes in the back building which was good of them. Very welcoming reception and all the staff were excellent. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Overall a lovely one night stay. Dent is a lovely village.

Superb Had a 2 night break at Dent stores B&B. Lovely comfortable room, fantastic hosts and superb breakfast. Easy to find, room was spacious and bed was super comfortable. Parking available close to accommodation. All in all dent and the surrounding area are stunning with some amazing views and walks.

Great place to stay in lovely location We stayed 1 night at this venue whilst walking the Dales way and they kindly agreed to take delivery/pass on our baggage from the transfer company on the day we arrived and left. We received a warm welcome from Sue who showed us to our room which was clean, smart and well decorated and included a very comfortable bed. We had a room at the front of the house which overlooked the church and main street. It was good to watch the world go by and listen to the quiet church chimes. The bathroom was a good size with lots of areas to store toiletries. Breakfast the following day was excellent in a very smart dining area and we would stay here again if walking in the area.

Great little BB Really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are cosy and exceptionally clean. The rooms are bright and modern, bathroom is a very high standard. The owner was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. We would recommend anyone to stay here

Dent Stores B and B, A jewel in the Dales. You will not find a better B and B in the Dales. The location for walkers, cyclists and tourists is everything you could hope for. The accommodation and Store is a credit to the family that run it, Les and Sue are very welcoming, friendly and cook a scrumptious brekky, Ben and Jack their sons run the well stocked store and offer useful advice about the local area. The B and B has every modern convenience but keeps a ‘Quaint village’ feel, it is very clean, comfortable and cozy. The room had an en-suite, tea and coffee, Comfy bed,TV and was very clean. A jewel in the Dales, we will be back.

A welcome stop My brother and I stayed here whilst walking The Dales Way. A spotless room, lovely comfortable beds with pristine bedding and a breakfast which kept us going well into the day. Would definitely recommend anyone stay here.

Fantastic Stay We were 4 ladies doing the Dales Way, it had been raining on the day and sue had newspaper ready for our wet boots which was so welcome. The rooms are ideal and everything worked. Breakfast in the morning was fabulous.

Dales Way stop with a holy view This a lovely small family run B&B in the heart of Dent with an inspiring view of Dent church. Nice clean well presented sympathetically modernised room. Fantastic powerful shower and a comfy bed what more do you need. Very friendly hosts and a hearty breakfast. Just a stone throw from the local pubs for evening meals which given our long walk to get there was most welcome. Very close to the Dales Way path so an ideal stopping place.

Handy Dales Way stop A small and tidy b and b just off the Dales Way. Our room was comfortable but very small, limited room to open our cases and move around. Lovely shower. Ideally situated just a few doors from the pub in this lovely village. A good breakfast, some fresh fruit would have been a nice addition. A friendly welcome.

Good place on The Dales Way Arrived somewhere between damp and wet. The room was compact, comfortable and warm so our walking gear was soon drying.The b and b is well place, near the way and near the two Dent pubs. As it was still raining we didn't have to walk far to eat....thankfully. Good breakfast in the morning set us up for the next section. Recommended.

Nice B&B on the Yorkshire Dales Way Having walked about 20 miles in the rain from Kendal, it was a welcome relief to arrive at this B and B in the lovely village of Dent. The twin bedded room was spotlessly clean, with a very nice en-suite shower room. Breakfast was fine and an excellent packed lunch was provided at a reasonable extra cost (I would recommend this should you have a long walk ahead). We ate our evening meal at the George and Dragon which is just a few doors away. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. Minor niggles were the lack of storage for wet clothing, the single beds were a little bit narrow for large guys and the village church clock chimes throughout the night (meaning windows need to be closed). However, given that there are very few places to stay in the vicinity, our group was very happy with this choice.

A bonus night before our Yorkshire Trip We decided to travel to the area on the Sunday as the traffic would be lighter, so decided to explore the area around Dent before meeting up with friends in Harrogate the following day. What a find this little B&B was. It is situated in the middle of town, opposite the church (so the neighbours were very quiet!) and spitting distance (or 42 steps as advised by Les) to the first of 2 pubs, the second being only a few steps more. Our room wasn’t huge but had all we needed, tv, tea & coffee making facilities, the cleanest smelling bed linen I’ve ever experienced and a large bathroom with a good size shower. Breakfast was cooked to order with all the usual cold options, but we opted for cooked and porridge, both excellent. Next door is Dent Stores, run by the same family of parents and 2 sons, so you can pick up any bits you need. A warm welcome by all and the village itself is lovely.

One night stay whilst checking out properties in the area Very nice B and B, friendly welcome. Very clean and the breakfast was well cooked. The room is a decent size with an en-suite shower room. Nice village location. I would stay here again. You need to park your car in the local car park, but this is understandable as the village is so small.

Dent stop me now Great place to stop on the Dalesway. Nice wee village with 2 pubs - preference for the one with the Dent ales. Dent Stores has all we needed: comfy room, bathroom, good wifi. Owners v helpful and provided great breakfast to help us on our way. Recommended

Excellent Just returned from an overnight stay whilst attending a carol festival in lovely Dent. This is a traditional family-run B&B and suited our needs perfectly. We stayed in the Ingleborough room, which was nicely furnished and with a very comfy double bed. The bathroom was very nice, with an excellent shower. Everywhere was very clean, full English breakfast was nicely cooked and the hosts were friendly without being intrusive. Free parking nearby using a permit provided by the hosts. Just what you need from a traditional B&B. We’d be happy to stay here again.

OK for one night. Cramped but clean, noisy with church bells every half hour all through the night and in hot weather had to have windows open. Would not stay longer than one night. Breakfast was fine. Owners friendly enough. Over priced for size of room and very basic with hardly any storage.

Dalesway Stopover Stayed here for one night as part of a Dalesway walk with friends. Great rooms, immaculately clean and bright. Lovely breakfast. We would definitely stay here when we visit Dent again. Highly recommended.

First class stay in pretty cobbled village! Spent 2 nights here on our way back from touring Scotland and despite the wettest weekend ever, we loved exploring the area. Accommodation consists of three newly-renovated en-suite rooms which offer guests their two most important requirements; a comfortable bed and a good shower in a immaculately clean environment. and we can confirm that this is indeed the case. We had the Pen-Y-Ghent room which, looking on the website, is slightly smaller than the others. The mattress is indeed superb and the shower the most powerful we have ever encountered anywhere on our travels! Add to this a fabulous cooked breakfast of quality produce, or selection of yogurts, cereals, and fruit, and you have a winning formula. There is no on-site parking but the property provides a permit to use the village car park nearby. Lots to explore around this delightful little cobbled village, including Dent train station - is the highest in England, and a tour of Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes though we were between demonstrations!

Excellent We stayed here as a half-way point from our holiday in Scotland to where we live in the SE. I've been visiting Dent since the 80s and it is one of my all-time favourite places, The Stores B&B is a recently refurbished guest house and it has been done to a high standard. Extremely comfortable, lovely hosts and a very nice breakfast. Wish we'd been able to stay longer. Highly recommended.

Picturesque location and lovely owners Stayed in this wonderful bed and breakfast while on a trip to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge. This is ideally located from the start in a quant village in the dales. Comfortable room with a lovely view of the village and the rolling hills from the window. The service was excellent and the owners were accommodating to any extra requests. The full English was also brilliant, would highly recommend.

Meeting a friend The friend I was meeting had a serious accident and had to cancel my stay 5 days before. I was charged £80 for the cancelled 1 night stay. The payment was taken 4 days before the stay. The owner said the website explained that any cancellation within 14 days would incur full charge. Beware!!

Clean modern, warm and a fantastic home made breakfast This is a lovely B&B set in the village of Dent.It is spotless clean with very comfy bed, and even comfier pillows! Lovely and warm on a extremely cold snowy evening, made very welcome by the hosts sue and Les . Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast . Nothing was too much trouble.If you are anywhere near Dent I would make the effort to stay here ,you will not be dissapointed.

Lovely B&B in picturesque village We stayed for a couple of days at this extremely pleasant B&B. The welcoming and friendly hosts have recently upgraded the property to provide ensuite rooms and have thought of everything to ensure a very comfortable stay. The full English breakfast was a fantastic tasty start to the day. Lunchtime bites and useful grocery items can be bought in the small local village shop also run by the owners. We enjoyed some lovely walks from our base in this picturesque village surrounded by beautiful scenery. We highly recommend the B&B and are already planning a return visit in the summer.

Quality B+B Was on a work/leisure trip in the Dales and ended up in Dent. Asked a local cafe about B+B and they recommended we try Dent Stores, which had been recently taken over by Sue+Les, who also ran the shop next door. A friendly welcome and lovely room with ensuite. Dead comfy bed and one of the tastiest breakfasts we've had. Don't miss out on the black pudding. The worlds best, imho 🙂 All in all what a B+B should be. Hats off to you guys.

Excellent B&B in the middle of a Lovely Yorkshire Dales village We were greeted by Sue & Les who own this small very comfortable B&B along with the village shop next door. Dent is a historic village surrounded by beautiful rolling hills.The rooms are all ensuite and have obviously been recently refurbished. You get free wifi and a TV in your room, however, I doubt that you'll do much TV watching. This is a part of the Yorkshire Dales that is not only perfect for walkers but also for those who just want visit or drive round this lovely countryside. A bonus is that you are within a 50 minute drive of the Lake District which is a must to visit while there. Oh ...... back to the B&B, the full cooked breakfast was fantastic with all the ingredients locally sources. Can't praise Sue & Les's hospitality and friendliness enough.
